  • Page 15 Setting Temperature Overrides Your Comfort Control has three temperature override options: Hold Temperature Until, Permanent Hold and Vacation Hold. HOLD TEMPERATURE UNTIL (TEMPORARY HOLD) Holds temperature temporarily until the next scheduled period time or until the time the user sets. 1.

    CLEANING YOUR COMFORT CONTROL SCREEN The Comfort Control has a touch screen interaction. Follow these steps to clean the screen without making comfort control changes: 1. Press Screen key. Comfort Control locks out touch keys for 30 seconds to allow for cleaning. 2.

    READING YOUR OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE If the communicating Comfort Control has discovered an outdoor temperature sensor, the comfort control displays the outdoor temperature. VIEW OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE The outside temperature is located in the lower right corner of the Home Screen. NOTE: If the communicating Comfort Control is in auto mode, the outdoor temperature can be dis- played by pressing the More key.
  • Page 23 Reminder Timers These reminders notify you when to change your furnace filters, humidifier pad, or other accessories. When the time you set expires, the Comfort Control flashes “Change” and then “Filter” or “Change” and “Humidifier Pad” until you reset the timer. NOTE: See Steps 11 through 13.

    Partially Locked Screen When partially locked, the screen indicates Screen Locked for 5 to 7 seconds whenever the user attempts to press a key that is locked. Pressing a locked key while Screen Locked is shown flashes Screen Locked on the screen. Pressing an unlocked key while Screen Locked is active removes the screen lock.

    NOTE: If the communicating Comfort Control is in auto mode, the indoor humidity level can be displayed by pressing the More key. NOTE: CONTINUOUS fan mode during COOLING operation may not be appropriate in humid cli- mates. The American Standard Proprietary Inside Humidity Control might disable continuous fan AUTO function.

    CONTROLLING YOUR INSIDE DEHUMIDIFICATION SETTING If the dehumidification control has been enabled, the communicating Comfort Control will read the inside humidity level and set a desired humidity level to help dehumidify the house. 1. Press the More key until the inside humidity percent and dehumidification setpoint are shown. 2.
  • Page 28 NOTE: If auto changeover is selected, the deadband can be no closer than 5 degrees with dehumidification enabled. American Standard Proprietary Humidity Control When enabled, this feature will disable any blower off delays and disable continuous fan mode when the indoor humidity is above the dehumidification setpoint. This will help prevent coil condensation from being evaporated back into the air stream.

    CONTROLLING YOUR INSIDE HUMIDIFICATION SETTING If the humidification control has been enabled, the communicating Comfort Control will read the inside humidity level and set a desired humidity level to help humidify the house. 1. Press the More key until the inside humidity percent and humidification setpoint are shown. 2.

Humidification Control If the humidification control has been enabled, the Comfort Control attempts to control to this humidification setpoint by turning on the humidifier.
  • Page 31 Temperature Recovery Your Comfort Control comes with a feature called Adaptive Intelligent Recovery (AIR), which eliminates all guesswork when setting your schedule. How long does it take the furnace to warm your house in the morning before you get out of bed or how long does it take the air conditioner to cool your house in the afternoon before you return from work? No problem.

    ADVANCED SETTINGS Your Comfort Control has many advanced settings to match your heating and cooling system. But you can change these settings to match your lifestyle: 1.     USER SETUP MENU Step 1. User Setup Number 0120: First Two Digits of Current Calendar Year To change current setting, press the Up or Down arrow key to the right of the two-digit number in the lower right corner of the screen. Options: 20 - Equals years 20xx.

  • Page 40 0 - No dehumidification control 1 - Integrated Temperature and humidity control (Factory default) 4 - American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning droop (RH setpoint) The dehumidification control attempts to control the indoor humidity to the user’s dehumidification setpoint by running the compressor. In extremely high humidity conditions, the Comfort Control keeps the compressor running for up to 3°F (-1.7°C) below the temperature setpoint.
  • Page 41 American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning Droop is a feature that cycles the compressor on to improve indoor comfort by removing moisture from the air. The Droop cycle is activated when the indoor humidity is above the user’s dehumidification setpoint.
