    Functionality added in version 1.32 New functionality for DCA Groups • A CHANNEL DISPLAY screen for DCA groups has been added. CHANNEL DISPLAY screen DCA group assign This displays the assignments for the selected DCA groups. Pressing [ENTER] lets you switch an assignment to a DCA group on or off. SOLO button This switches SOLO for a DCA group on or off.
  • Page 7 Functionality added in version 1.32 Move the cursor to the target DCA group, then press [F1 (CH DISP)]. The CHANNEL DISPLAY screen appears. When DCA groups have been assigned to user fader layers, pressing [SEL] for a fader module where a DCA group has been assigned lets you access the CHANNEL DISPLAY screen.

    Functionality added in version 1.32 New functionality for monitoring • A dimmer function has been added. • Operations from the LEVEL knobs in the top panel's MONITOR section can be prohibited. This is useful when you want to want to keep the monitor level unchanged during use. MONITOR screen MONITOR LEVEL CONTROL selection button This lets you select either of the following as the operation performed by the monitor level.

    Functionality added in version 1.32 Dimmer function The dimmer function lowers the monitor signal output to MONITOR OUT L/R by the amount set using DIMMER level. It is also possible to interlink on/off switching of the dimmer function with on/off switching of talkback. The dimmer function has no effect on PHONES OUT (headphones output).
  • Page 10 Functionality added in version 1.32 New functionality for patchbay PREAMP EDIT popup You can setup the preamp gain of the input jacks directly. It is useful when an input jack is not patched to M-480’s input channel, but is a split source used for a multi-channel recording system. Access the PATCHBAY screen.

    Functionality added in version 1.32 You must turn the phantom power off if you’ve connected equipment that does not require +48V phantom power. Mistakenly supplying phantom power to a dynamic microphone, audio playback device, or any other device that does not require phantom power will cause malfunctions. Carefully read the owner’s manual for your microphone or other device, and make sure of its specifications.
  • Page 12 Functionality added in version 1.32 New functionality for user settings • The M-380 can be set to always boot in GUEST mode regardless of the previous settings. • You can edit the user level to prohibit more operations. Make the M-380 Always Start with Guest Mode You can make the unit always start with Guest Mode when the power is turned on.
  • Page 13 Functionality added in version 1.32 Make it to copy the current settings. Check the [Copy current user settings] box and make the unit to copy current user settings to the new one. Create a new user setting. Press [F8 (CREATE)] to create a setting. A new user with the same settings as the current user will be created in the USB memory. Enable the new user setting.

When recording is performed on the R-1000, the channel names on the M-380 used as the recording source are applied to the track names on the R-1000. The following rules are used to assign the track names according to the settings for the recording-use INPUT patchbay on the R-1000 (the input connector assigned to the recording track) and the M-380's patchbay settings.

This function automatically detects the type of the connected Ethernet cable (Crossover or Straight) and configures the connection appropriately. By enabling this, both Crossover and Straight Ethernet cable can be supported for REAC connection. In the SETUP section, hold down [SYSTEM] and turn the power on.
