    Controls and functions Projector Focus ring AUTO Adjusts the focus of the projected image. Automatically determines the best picture timings for the displayed image. Zoom ring 10.     Remote control effective range The remote control must be held at an angle within 30 degrees perpendicular to the projector's IR remote control sensor(s) to function correctly. The distance between the remote control and the sensor(s) should not exceed 8 meters (~ 26 feet). Make sure that there are no obstacles between the remote control and the IR sensor(s) on the projector that might obstruct the infra-red beam.

    All measurements are approximate and may vary from the actual sizes. BenQ recommends that if you intend to permanently install the projector, you should physically test the projection size and distance using the actual projector in situ before you permanently install it, so as to make allowance for this projector's optical characteristics.

    • If you wish to use this connection method when the projector is in standby mode, make sure the Monitor Out function is turned on in the SYSTEM SETUP: Advanced menu.     Adjusting the projected image Adjusting the projection angle The projector is equipped with 1 adjuster foot. It changes the image height and projection angle. To adjust the projector, screw the adjuster foot to fine- tune the horizontal angle. To retract the foot, screw the rear adjuster foot in a reverse direction.

    Securing the projector Using a security cable lock The projector has to be installed in a safe place to prevent theft. Otherwise, purchase a lock, such as the Kensington lock, to secure the projector. You can locate a Kensington lock slot on the rear side of the projector. See item 17 on page for details.

To activate the pattern: Open the OSD menu and go to the DISPLAY > Teaching Template and press to select Blackboard or Whiteboard. Press to choose the pattern you need.     Shutting down the projector Press POWER and a confirmation message will display prompting you. If you don't respond in a few seconds, the message will disappear. Press POWER a second time. The POWER indicator light flashes orange, the projection lamp shuts down, and the fans will continue to run for approximately 90 seconds to cool down the projector.
