  • Page 6 heavy enough to carry the current your product will draw. An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of power and overheating. The table shows the correct size to use depending on cord length and nameplate ampere rating. If in doubt, use the next heavier gauge. The smaller the gauge number, the heavier the cord.
  • Page 7 • To use the cord retainer as shown in figure I, feed the extension cord into the cord retainer housing (I1). Loop the extension cord around the cord retainer (I2) so it rests in the cord retainer. Then plug the extension cord into the power head. OPERATING THE TRIMMER (FIGURES J, K) WARNING: Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments.

FIXATION DU PARE-MAIN (FIGURES B, C) AVERTISSEMENT : JAMAIS UTILISER L’OUTIL SANS LE PARE-MAIN SOLIDEMENT FIXÉ. Le pare-main doit toujours être attaché correctement à l’outil pour protéger l’utilisateur. • Retirer la vis du pare-main.
  • Page 15 FONCTIONNEMENT DU TAILLE-BORDURE (FIGURES J, K) AVERTISSEMENT : Débrancher la fiche du bloc d’alimentation avant de faire quelque ajustement que ce soit. • Brancher la fiche du cordon d’alimentation dans une prise de courant, puis raccorder le cordon au taille-bordure. • Maintenir un angle de coupe entre 5° et 10° comme le montre la figure J1. Ne pas excéder 10° (figure J2). Couper avec le bout du fil. • Maintenir une distance minimale de 609,6 mm (24 po) entre le pare-main et les pieds, comme le montre la figure K.
  • Page 16 REMARQUE : UTILISER UNIQUEMENT UN FIL DE NYLON ROND (MONOFILAMENT) DE 2,0 mm (0,080 po) DE DIAMÈTRE. Ne pas utiliser de fil dentelé ou de plus gros calibre, car ces fils surchargeront le moteur et provoqueront une surchauffe. Votre taille-bordure utilise un fil de nylon ROND de 2,0 mm (0,080 po) de diamètre. En cours d’utilisation, les extrémités des fils de nylon s’effilocheront et s’useront. La bobine spéciale à alimentation automatique de fil fournira et coupera automatiquement une nouvelle longueur de fil.
  • Page 17 • Faire attention à ce que le fil ne se prenne pas sous la bobine. • Aligner les languettes du couvercle de la bobine sur les encoches du boîtier de la bobine (figure P). • Enclencher de nouveau le couvercle comme il est montré à la figure P. Il suffit d’appuyer sur les pattes, puis d’enfoncer le couvercle dans le boîtier de la bobine. REMARQUE : Le fil doit sortir d’environ 122 mm (4 13/16 po) du boîtier.   • Page 23 INSTALACIÓN DEL PROTECTOR (FIGURAS B Y C) ADVERTENCIA: NUNCA USE LA HERRAMIENTA SIN EL PROTECTOR INSTALADO FIRMEMENTE. El protector siempre debe estar correctamente instalado en la herramienta para proteger al usuario. • Quite el tornillo del protector. • Mientras mantiene el protector alineado con el cabezal de la podadora, deslícelo a su posición hasta que la lengüeta de retención encaje en su lugar y se escuche un clic (asegúrese de que los rieles guía (B1) del protector (B2) estén correctamente alineados con los rieles guía (B3) del cabezal de la podadora (B4) (Figura B).
