Various Functions
No image will appear on the LCD
monitor when the camera is connected
to a TV monitor.
The video output signal can be switched
(NTSC or PAL) to accommodate
different regional standards (p. 73). The
default setting varies between regions.
- NTSC: Japan, U.S.A., Canada,
Taiwan, etc.
- PAL: Europe, Asia (excluding
Taiwan), Oceania, etc.
If the video system is set incorrectly, the
camera output may not display properly.
If the TV is a stereo model, you can plug
the audio plug into either the left or right
Audio In jack. Please refer to the TV's
manual for details.
A TV set cannot be used in

Resetting the File Number

You can select the way file numbers are
assigned.
The file numbers are reset to the start (100-
0001) each time a new CF card is inserted.
On
New images recorded on CF cards with
existing files are assigned the next available
number.
The file number of the last image to be shot
Off
is memorized so that images recorded to a
new CF card start from the next number.

(File No. Reset).
