5. PRE-WARNING SENSOR CIRCUIT (Optional at time of installation)
The RF-303 offers an option to pre-warn possible violators with vehicle horn, or
siren chirps before triggering the alarm. The alarm will trigger with the third
violation within 15 seconds. Purchase of an optional sensor will be required.
To temporarily delete the pre-warning sensor, in cases where the vehicle will be
subject to heavy traffic, or large numbers of passing pedestrians, press the
ON/OFF button again within five (5) seconds after arming. The vehicle horn, or
siren will confirm the delete command with a low chirp sound.
NOTE: The deleted pre-warning sensor will automatically return to normal
operation upon disarming the RF-303. The pre-warning sensor delete operation
must be followed each time the RF-303 is armed. This operation deletes only
the pre-warning sensor of the alarm. The factory default setting of this feature is
OFF.
NOTE: If the alarm has been installed to sound the vehicle's horn
instead of a siren, use of the pre-warn circuit will not be possible.
6. CHANGING THE REMOTE TRANSMITTER BATTERY
The RF-303 remote transmitter
uses one (1) 12 volt miniature
battery, #EL12, #VR22, or Radio
Shack #23-144. It will provide
approximately one year of
operation before replacement is
necessary
