RF-303 OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
A. REMOTE CONTROL TRANSMITTER OPERATION
The remote control transmitters (XT-56 ) included with the RF-303 offer the
code rolling feature which will prevent illegal use of a code-grabber with an
attempt to record the code of your transmitter.
1. ARM/DISARM
TO ARM THE RF-303
Press the ON/OFF button once to
arm. The vehicle horn or siren will
chirp one (1) time, the parking lights
will flash one (1) time, and all doors
ON/OFF
AUX
will lock (**).
TO DISARM THE RF-303
Press the ON/OFF button once to
disarm. The vehicle horn or siren
will chirp two (2) times, the parking
lights will flash two (2) times, and all
doors will unlock (**).
NOTE (*) The RF-303 is designed to honk the vehicle's factory horn on alarm
arm/disarm, and during actual alarm trigger, or the included electronic siren can
be installed by your AutoPage Authorized Dealer to take the place of the audible
horn signal.
NOTE (**) Your vehicle must be equipped with power door locks. Optional
relays may be required. The door lock/unlock outputs of the RF-303 are not

    ARM/DISARM chirp sound. 3. PANIC FUNCTION The RF-303 remote control may be used as a remote panic switch to trigger the horn or siren in cases of emergency. To activate the PANIC FUNCTION press and hold the ON/OFF button on the remote transmitter for a minimum of three (3) seconds.

    5. PRE-WARNING SENSOR CIRCUIT (Optional at time of installation) The RF-303 offers an option to pre-warn possible violators with vehicle horn, or siren chirps before triggering the alarm. The alarm will trigger with the third violation within 15 seconds. Purchase of an optional sensor will be required.

    NOTE: If the automatic rearm feature was chosen at the time of installation, a door must be opened after disarming. If a door is not opened, the RF-303 will automatically rearm in 60 seconds, and the LED will continue to flash. See Section (F ) AUTOMATIC REARMING for details.

    To operate the OVERRIDE FUNCTION, enter the vehicle (alarm will sound). Switch the ignition to ON. Move the VALET/OVERRIDE switch to ON, then OFF. The alarm will stop. The RF-303 will be disarmed. Quickly replace or service the remote transmitter to insure continued vehicle protection.

    4. Close the exit, and the LED will start flashing again. 5. The RF-303 will count down for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, the vehicle horn, or siren will chirp one (1) time, and the parking lights will flash one (1) time indicating the RF-303 has armed.

AUTOMATIC REARMING The RF-303 is equipped with an automatic rearming circuit that will return the alarm to a fully armed state if a door is not opened within 60 seconds after disarming. If desired, this automatic rearming circuit can be eliminated at the time of installation G.

    European vehicles. I. TRIGGER TEST After arming the RF-303 in either the passive or manual mode, test the system in the following manner. 1. Open any door or other protected opening. The vehicle horn, or siren will immediately begin sounding, and the parking lights will begin flashing.

    3. To terminate the trigger test, push the ON/OFF button on the remote transmitter. NOTE: If triggered in the armed mode, the RF-303 will sound the vehicle horn, or siren and flash the parking lights for 60 seconds. It will then stop and automatically reset, and rearm.

    The second transmitter is now programmed. NOTE: If the RF-303 does not receive a second transmitter code to learn within five (5) seconds, it will automatically close the programming mode and resume normal alarm functions.

    The RF-303 transmitters are capable of controlling separately installed RF-300, RF-500, or RF-700 series alarm systems in two vehicles. To code the RF-303 transmitters for two vehicles, follow the diagrams as shown below. Before multiple vehicle programming can be achieved, it will be necessary to enter the programming mode for each vehicle’s alarm system.
