Headset Instructions

Although the 5304 does not have a dedicated headset jack, you can still use a headset on the
phone if your system administrator has reprogrammed one of your phone's buttons as a
Speaker button. You must use a Speaker button to connect to and disconnect from calls while
your phone is in headset mode. Contact your system administrator if you want to use a headset
with the 5304 IP phone.

The headset must be hearing aid compatible (HAC).
If your headset has a power-saver mode, make sure the system administrator has
enabled the "Headset Connect Tone" feature. If this is not enabled, you may miss
the first few seconds of an incoming call.
Remove the handset jack from the handset port located on the back of the phone.
Insert the headset jack into the handset port.
Dial 317 (Headset On/Off). HEADSET MODE ON appears.
Remove the headset jack from the handset port located on the back of the phone.
Insert the handset jack into the handset port.
Lift the handset and press the hookswitch down.
Dial 317 (Headset On/Off). HEADSET MODE OFF appears.
