Thecruise controlbutton is
locatedon the tractordash
panelto the left of the ignition
switch.Pushthe cruisecontrol
buttonwhiletravelingforwardat a
desiredspeed.Whileholdingthe
buttonin, releasepressurefrom
thedrive pedal.Thiswill engage
thecruise controland allowthe
tractorto remainat that speed
withoutapplyingpressureto the
drivepedal.Depressthe brakepedal or the drive pedal
to deactivatecruisecontrol.Referto Setting the Cruise
Control laterin this sectionthe manualfor detailed
instructionsregarding the cruise controlfeature.
NOTE:Cruisecontrolcan NOTbe engagedat the
tractor'sfastestgroundspeed. If the operatorshould
attemptto do so, the tractorwill automatically decelerate
to the fastestoptimalmowinggroundspeed.
Shift Lever
The shiftleveris located

IMPORTANT:Neverforce the shiftlever.Doingso may
result inseriousdamageto the tractor'stransmission.
Safety
Interlock
Switches
This tractoris equippedwith a safety interlocksystem
for the protectionof the operator.If the interlocksystem
shouldever malfunction, d o not operatethe tractor.
Contactan authorizedWhiteOutdoorservicedealer.
The safetyinterlocksystempreventsthe engine
fromcrankingor startingunlessthe parkingbrakeis
engaged,and the PTO(Blade Engage)leveris in the
disengaged(OFF) position.
Theenginewill automaticallyshut off if theoperator
leavesthe seatbeforeengagingthe parkingbrake.
Theenginewill automaticallyshut off if theoperator
leavesthetractor'sseat with the PTO(Blade Engage)
leverin the engaged(ON) position,regardlessof
whetherthe parkingbrakeis engaged.

PTO(Blade Engage)leveris movedintothe engaged
(ON)positionwith the shift leverin Reverse.

switchmoduleallowsthe tractorto be operatedin
reversewith the blades(PTO)engaged.

positionto the REVERSECAUTIONMODE (Yellow)

Depressthe REVERSE PUSHBUTTON(Orange,
TriangularButton)at thetop, rightcornerof the key
switchmodule.The red indicatorlightat the top, left
cornerof the key switchmodulewill be ON while
activated.See Fig. 4-5.
