Securing a Seam

Turning a Square Corner

The machine will sew in reverse as long as the
reverse stitch lever is pressed.
Secure the beginning and end of a seam by
sewing in reverse for about 1 cm (3/8˝).
Pull the bobbin thread to bring the needle thread to
the wrong side of fabric.
Tie the threads together. Trim the remaining
threads.
Stop the machine a few stitches before the end of
the seam.
Press the up/down needle button a few times until
the needle falls on the end of the seam.
Raise the presser foot.
Pivot the fabric around the needle to change the
sewing direction.
Lower the presser foot and start sewing in a new
direction.
