Elastic blind stitch, program F

The elastic blind stitch is especially suit-
able for invisible hems; sewing by hand is
no longer necessary. It is equally suitable
for both stretch and non-stretch fabrics.
The hem is sewn and serged simultane-
ously, i.e. an extra serging of the fabric
edge is not necessary.
• On materials which fray strongly, serge
the hem edge separately.
• Use blind stitch foot no. 3.
• Fold the hem width inwards.
• Lay the hem back outwards so that the
hem edge protrudes by about 1 cm.
• Lay the fabric underneath the presser
foot so that the crease line runs along
the red guide.
• The needle should only catch one
thread when entering the fabric in the
crease line.
