Basic operations

The default setting of display language is English. You can change the language displayed in the
menu.
For details, refer to the explanation of "Changing the display language" on page 30.

Listening to music

First, send audio data to the player from your computer using the supplied software Music
Transfer Hard Disk Player Edition. Refer to the separate manual "Music Transfer Hard Disk
Player Edition" about how to send audio data to the player.
Once audio data has been stored in the player, you can search for the track you want to play by
artist, album, genre or track name. You can also play tracks in the Playlist you have created using
Music Transfer Hard Disk Player Edition, or use the FAVORITE to easily find and play your
favorite tracks (for details on the FAVORITE, see page 18).

. Connect the remote control and the headphones.

Connect the headphones to the remote
control, and connect the remote control to
the i/REMOTE jack on the player.

. Turn the power on.

Slide and hold the HOLD/POWER
switch towards POWER on the
remote control for more than one
second.
Alternatively, press and hold NX on the
player for more than one second.
The power is turned on, and the Search
menu appears in the display.
