BEFORE BEGINNING THERMOSTAT INSTALLATION BE CERTAIN THE STOVE IS UNPLUGGED AND COMPLETELY COOL. DEPENDING ON WHICH STOVE THE THERMOSTAT IS BEING INSTALLED ON, THE CONTROL BOARD MAY NEED TO BE REMOVED FOR 1. Using a small, slotted screwdriver (often referred to as a jeweler’s screwdriver), loosen the two screws on the front of the J18 thermostat terminal, shown below and remove the jumper which is installed in the terminal from the factory.
