Lightolier 1084CD Instructions

READ AND UNDERSTAND THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLING FIXTURE
This fixture is intended for installation in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local regulations. To
assure full compliance with local codes and regulations, check with your local electrical inspector before
installation. To prevent electric shock, turn off electricity at fuse box before proceeding.
Retain these instructions for maintenance reference.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR: 1184WH, 1184CD, 1084WH, 1084CD, 2084WH, 2084CD
1184WH and 1184CD for use with 1104ICX, 1103R, 1100IC, 1100AICM and 1102P1 only.
1084WH and 1084CD for use with 1004ICX, 1003R, 1000IC, 1000AICM and 1002P1 only.
2084WH and 2084CD for use with 2000IC, 2000AIC, 2003R and 2002P1 only.

USE ONLY REFLECTOR TRIMS PROVIDED BY LIGHTOLIER. USE OF OTHER MANUFACTURER'S REFLECTOR
TRIMS MAY VOID THE UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES LISTING AND COULD CONSTITUTE A FIRE HAZARD.
CAUTION:
BEFORE INSTALLING REFLECTOR TO FRAME-IN-KIT, READ MARKINGS IN REFLECTOR AND IN SOCKET CUP
OF FRAME-IN-KIT TO DETERMINE LAMP WATTAGE AND TYPE APPLICABLE FOR YOUR INSTALLATION.
1 FRAME-IN KIT INSTALLATION: See Frame-In Kit Instruction Sheet for installation procedure.
2 GASKET INSTALLATION:
A. Align open side of gasket towards socket cup (figure A).
B. Pinch gasket and insert both edges under the reflector spring clip. (figure B).
C. Push center of gasket back into socket cup until inner diameter fits over the lamp socket
and smaller thru hole in gasket sits on top of socket (figure C).

CAUTION
THE GASKET MUST SIT ON TOP OF SOCKET TO PROVIDE SEAL TO LAMP.
3 ROTATE ROTO-CLIPS:
Rotate (4) ROTO-CLIPS so that the short legs extend inwardly toward center
opening (figure D).
Note: The short leg of the ROTO-CLIP has no return on top.
4 SNAP ON:
Insert gasketed socket cup into neck of reflector trim making sure spring clips of
socket cup snap into slots of reflector (figure E). If reflector trim has 2 sets of slots,
the upper slot is used for IC frame-in kits, the lower slot for non-IC frame-in kits.
Note: At no time should the lamp extend outside the reflector trim.
5 PUSH UP:
Align Reflector Trim so that ROTO-CLIPS will not interfere with socket cup spring
clips and push reflector trim straight up into fixture housing until it is tight against
ceiling (figure F).
Note: To remove reflector trim, turn reflector trim counterclockwise while pulling
downward. Once trim is out of the ceiling, squeeze reflector spring clips until the
trim disengages from socket cup. (figure G).
Replacement Gasket Available: Lightolier Catalog No. LFG356
FOR NON-IC RATED INSTALLATIONS, DO NOT INSTALL INSULATION ABOVE
OR WITHIN 3 INCHES OF ANY PART OF FIXTURE.
– DO NOT STRETCH SMALL HOLE OF GASKET OVER LAMP SOCKET.
