In case of problems when installing your MRD- M1005/MRD-M605, please contact your authorized ALPINE dealer.

    CAUTION HALT USE IMMEDIATELY IF A PROBLEM APPEARS. Failure to do so may cause personal injury or damage to the product. Return it to your authorized Alpine dealer or the nearest Alpine Service Center for repairing. HAVE THE WIRING AND INSTALLATION DONE BY EXPERTS.

    English CAUTION CONNECTIONS OF POWER SUPPLY TERMINAL G Before connecting the power supply wire to the unit, be sure to remove the negative (–) terminal of the vehicle’s battery. • Make the power supply wire connection to the battery positive (+) terminal of the unit, before connecting the wire to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle’s battery .

    English INSTALLATION Due to the high power output of the MRD-M1005/ MRD-M605, considerable heat is produced when the amplifier is in operation. For this reason, the amplifier should be mounted in a location which will allow for free circulation of air, such as inside the trunk. For alternate installation locations, please contact your authorized Alpine dealer.

    (remove any paint or grease if necessary) of the car chassis. • If you add an optional noise suppressor, connect it as far away from the unit as possible. Your Alpine dealer carries various noise suppressors, contact them for further information.
  • Page 7 English Speaker Output Terminals The MRD-M1005/MRD-M605 has one set of speaker outputs. Be sure to observe correct speaker output connections and phasing. Connect the positive output to the positive speaker terminal and the negative to negative. Do not connect the Speaker-Minus-Lead to the vehicle’s chassis.

    English SWITCH SETTINGS Crossover Frequency Adjustment Knob Permits adjustment of the crossover frequency, by rotating the knob to select any frequency between 30 to 200 Hz as the crossover point. Lowpass Filter Slope Selector Switch The Lowpass Filter slope can be set for either 12dB/oct.

    English Display Button DN (DOWN) Button MODE Button OPERATION METHOD SELECTING THE AMP ID • When multiple amplifiers are connected to an Amplifier LINK compatible Head Unit, each amp must have its own, unique ID. • With a single amplifier system, an AMP ID is not necessary.
  • Page 12 English ADJUSTING THE INPUT LEVEL • Adjust the input level of the amplifier to match the output of the connected head unit. 1. Press the MODE button until “GAIN” is displayed. 2. Press the DN/UP button to adjust the input level.
