TV operation
NOTE:
The unit is capable of holding a still video
image or On screen display image on your
television screen indefinitely. If you leave
the still video image or On screen display
image displayed on your TV for an ex-
tended period of time, you risk permanent
damage to your television screen.

CHANNEL

Press and release CH
channel automatically stops at the
next channel set into memory.
For proper operation, before select-
ing channels, they should be set into
the memory. See pages 20 and 21
"To memorize channels"
CALL
Press DISPLAY/CALL to display the
current information on the screen.
Press DISPLAY/CALL again to clear
the call display.
• Channel number or VIDEO mode
• Stereo or SAP (second audio
program) audio status
• Audio output status

QUICK VIEW

This button allows you to go back to
the last channel selected by press-
ing QUICK VIEW. Press QUICK
VIEW again to return to the last
channel you were watching.
MUTE
Press MUTE to switch off the sound.
The TV/DVD's sound will be silenced
and "MUTE" will briefly appear on the
screen. The sound can be switched
back on by pressing this button
again or one of the VOL + or –
buttons.
SLEEP
To set the TV/DVD to turn off after a
preset amount of time, press SLEEP
on the remote control. The clock will
count down 10 minutes for each press
of SLEEP (120, 110, ...10, 0). After the
sleep time is programmed, the display
will appear briefly every ten minutes
to remind you that the sleep timer is
operating. To confirm the sleep timer setting, press SLEEP and the
remaining time will be displayed for a few seconds. To cancel the
sleep timer, press SLEEP repeatedly until the display turns to 0.
FREEZE
This function allows you to make a freeze frame of a picture on
the TV-screen. If you find a favorite picture during TV-reception,
DVD mode or connected VCR- or CAMCORDER-playback, press
FREEZE. To cancel freeze, press FREEZE again. FREEZE is not
effective during the PC mode.
