Connecting a Telephone Line

Depending on your environment, a method to
connect the telephone line is different. Based on
the following figures, connect the line for your
environment.
Note
 Turn off the machine when you connect the telephone line
with the machine.
 You cannot connect to the ISDN line directly. To connect to
it, use the terminal adopter (TA) and connect to the LINE
connection of the machine.
 Don't connect with USB cable or LAN cable at this point.

Connecting to the Public Line
(Connecting for Fax Only)
Plug one end of the [Telephone cable]

into the [LINE connection] of your
machine and the other end into a
[Public Line (Analog)].

Note
 Connect telephone cable to [LINE connection] without
fail. Never connect it to [TEL connection].

machine and the other end into a
[Public Line (Analog)].

Remove the [Telephone connector cover].

Plug the external telephone's cable into

the [TEL connection] of your machine.
The telephone that is connected to the machine
is called an external telephone.
Note
 Only one telephone can be connected to this machine.
 Don't connect the telephone to the machine in parallel. If you
connect the telephone to the machine in parallel, the following
problem will occur and the machine will not work correctly.
