Adding a Scanner To register your scanner as an authorized network scanner, use the Samsung Network Scan Manager window. In the Samsung Network Scan Manager window, click the Add Device button, or double-click the Add Device icon. Click Next. Select Browse for a scanner. (recommended), or Connect to this scanner.

•You can enter an ID of up to 8 characters. The first character must be a letter. •The PIN must be 4 digits. You have added your machine to the network. Click Finish. Your machine appears on the Samsung Network Scan Manager window and you can now scan through the network.
Setting the properties In the Samsung Network Scan Manager window,/double- click the scanner icon, or click the Properties button. After setting the properties, click OK. General Page You can change the name of the scanner.
Server Page You can check the scanner’s information. You can select the situation(s) in which an alert appears. Advanced Page You can set the destination where scanned files are to be stored. You can select the file name format. You can open the scanned document immediately after scanning.
Preferences Page You can select the scan area you want. Click User Define to manually enter a scan area. For some scanners, the Scan Area option is not available. You can select scan color, scan resolution, and file type. You can adjust the brightness.
Scanning using the Network Scan Check the scanner’s status by checking the scanner icon. See the next page. Configure the network scanner settings. See “Setting the properties” on page 4. Load the document you want to scan to the scanner you want to use.
To view the Help file, you need to have Internet I can’t view the Help file. Explorer 4 service pack 2 or above. I can’t use the Samsung Check your operating system. Network Scan Manager Supporting operating systems are Windows 98/Me/ program.
