BATTERY/CHARGING SYSTEM

BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

● Loosen the battery cover setting bolt.
● Remove the battery cover.
● After removing the negative "⊖" terminal of battery
firstly, must remove the positive "⊕" terminal of
battery.
● Install in the reverse order of removal.

BATTERY INSPECTION

CHARGE LEVEL (OPEN-CIRCUIT VOLTAGE)
INSPECTION
● Remove the battery cover and disconnect the battery
terminals.
● Measure the voltage between the battery terminals.
- FULLY CHARGED : 13.0-13.2V
- INSUFFICIENTLY CHARGED : Under 12.3V
NOTE
·Use a digital voltmeter when measuring charge level.
: DAELIM PVA multi-tester
·Take special care not to deform the battery terminals.

CHARGING SYSTEM INSPECTION

LEAK TEST
● Trun off the main switch, and remove the earth cable
from the battery. Connect an ampere meter between the
battery terminal and the earth cable, and check current
when the main switch is turned off.
CAUTION
·Use an ampere meter while sequentially changing its
measuring range from large to small. If the current
level greater than the measuring limit is measured,
the ampere meter fuse may be cut.
·Do not turn on the main switch while current is being
measured.
LEAK CURRENT : Not to exceed 1mA
BATTERY ADJUSTMENT VOLTAGE CHECK
● Connect the voltmeter between the battery terminals.
● Connect the amperemeter between the main fuse
termanals.
● Start the engine and measure the charging voltage and
ampere while incresae the rpm gradually.
CONTROL VOLTAGE (CHARGING SIDE) : 13.0~14.5 0.5V/5,000rpm
(LAMP SIDE) : 13.1~ 0.5V/5,000rpm
