    Important Safety Instructions For your safety and protection, read this entire Owner’s Manual before you attempt to install or use your satellite system. In particular, read this safety section carefully. Keep this safety information where you can refer to it if necessary.

    • Grounded the antenna as described in your antenna installation instructions. • Attached RG-6 coaxial cable(s) to the antenna LNB connector(s). • Routed the other end of the antenna cable to the back of your DIRECTV Receiver. • Placed the DIRECTV Receiver accessible to a telephone modular jack.

However, using the remote control simplifies accessing the basic system functions, enhances your system’s capabilities, and provides convenient shortcuts to extended features.
