Type B: SCREW RETENTION TYPE HEATSINK
1. After placing CPU back-plate and
adhesive interface material under
motherboard, place heatsink
retention frame on top of
motherboard. Align heatsink retention
frame screw hole with backplate
assembly standoffs. Place heatsink
inside plastic retention bracket. Place
metal clip over retention frame tab.
Repeat for other side.
2. Insert screw through metal clip.
BE SURE METAL CLIP IS LOCKED
ONTO RETENTION FRAME TAB.
3. Tighten screw through metal clip.
Repeat on the other side.
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
