    Preparing the remote control unit The included remote control unit (RC-1000) can be used to operate not only the AVR-1506 but other remote control compatible DENON components as well.     Easy Operation Connecting a DVD player and monitor TV • To connect the digital audio output from the DVD player, you can choose from either the coaxial or optical connections. (Cinema Equalizer): The Cinema EQ function gently decreases the level of the extreme high frequencies, compensating for overly-bright sounding motion picture soundtracks. Select this function if the sound from the front speakers is too bright. This function only works in the Dolby Pro Logic Digital, DTS Surround and DTS NEO:6 modes.

    Basic Operation DENON original surround modes This unit is equipped with a high performance DSP (Digital Signal Processor) which uses digital signal processing to synthetically recreate the sound field. One of 7 preset surround modes can be selected according to the program source and the parameters can be adjusted according to the conditions in the listening room to achieve a more realistic, powerful sound.

    Additional Information Optimum surround sound for different sources There are currently various types of multi-channel signals (signals or formats with more than two channels). 2 Types of multi-channel signals Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic, DTS, high definition 3-1 signals (Japan MUSE Hi-Vision audio), DVD-Audio, Super Audio CD, MPEG multi-channel audio, etc.
