    Recommended installation locations, Fig. 2 CIX 3000 Blue The CIX 3000 Blue should be installed in a location that is not electrically isolated (e.g. not beneath/behind sheet metal parts, in the luggage compartment) in order to ensure that the radio link to the mobile phone is not obstructed, e.g. beneath the front seats or beneath the instrument panel.

    Installation The CIX 3000 Blue can be secured in a suitable installation location, using the screws supplied with the unit. four fastening tabs are provided on the housing of the CIX 3000 Blue for this purpose. Electrical connections Route all wiring with care.

  • Page 11 Automatic mute of car radio Function The CIX 3000 Blue Bluetooth hands-free terminal offers a variety of options for installing a hands-free unit in your vehicle with minimum effort - you do not even need a cable for the mobile phone. Depending on the system configuration, you can control the basic functions of the mobile phone either using the IR remote control provided or - in conjunction with the CI 3000 - via a VDO Dayton navigation system.

Making a call with the mobile phone If you make a call using the mobile phone, the call is automatically made via the CIX 3000 Blue hands-free terminal.     A Bluetooth connection requires a radio link between the CIX 3000 Blue and the mobile phone. CIX 3000 Blue not in pairing mode (link). • Switch the CIX 3000 Blue and the mobile phone to pairing mode (see page 12). Unit functioning but not responding to remote Batteries in the remote control is empty.
