Seam Allowances with Stretch
Overedged Seam Stitch
This technique is ideal for making an unlined garment or when the seam
allowances may show. All the edges are finished prior to construction. This
prevents raveling of the fabric and makes a professional finish on woven and
knit fabrics.

(2) 4" x 3" pieces of heavy woven fabric
Procedure:

so that the stitch forms just on the edge of the fabric.

edge so that the stitch forms just on the edge of the fabric. Sew.
Change to the Standard Foot and set machine for a straight stitch.
With right sides together, join the two pieces of fabric with a ⅝" seam
allowance.
