Incoming Faxes

The Incoming Faxes Queue contains the faxes that have been routed to you. You can
view, print, save, route, fax, or delete faxes in your personal incoming fax list. If you want
to keep a fax, either save or print it, and then remove it from the list. Leaving faxes in the
list wastes disk space on the FaxPress. Your administrator can configure the FaxPress to
automatically purge old faxes from all mailboxes. You should find out the purging settings
the administrator has configured, to avoid losing outdated faxes you want to save or print.
Incoming faxes are placed directly in your mailbox if your phone system supports some
form of automatic routing, and if the FaxPress is configured with the information to use it.
If the FaxPress is not set up for automatic inbound routing, manual or assigned line user'
routing can be used to receive faxes in the Incoming Faxes Queue. Incoming Faxes that
do not meet direct dialing criteria are send to the Unaddressed Mailbox and then must
be routed to the FaxPress recipient by a FaxPress user with Router privileges. To insure
confidentiality, routers are only allowed to view the first page of a fax. For more informa-
tion on user privileges see User Privilege Levels on page 41.

Archived Sent Faxes

If the FaxPress has been configured for archiving transmitted faxes, this folder will appear
in your Mailbox, and contain a list of all the archived faxes you have sent. For information
on viewing, sending, mailing, and saving your archived faxes, see Archiving Faxes on page
241.

Archived Received Faxes

If the FaxPress has been configured for archiving received faxes, this folder will appear in
your Mailbox, and contain the list of all the received faxes that have been archived for you.
You can perform many operations on your archived faxes including: viewing, sending,
mailing, and saving. Refer to Archiving Faxes on page 241.

Notices

The Notices folder contains notices sent by the FaxPress telling you about events such as
faxes sent, received, routed, or printed. If you are the FaxPress Administrator, FaxPress
also sends you notices and system warnings, such as a warning when the FaxPress is run-
ning low on disk space. You can view, print, or delete notices from your notice list. The
FaxPress can be set up by an administrator with Administrator privileges to clean out old
notices from all mailboxes. See the FaxPress Administrator Guide for details.
You can also receive your notices through TrayFaxAlert. TrayFaxAlert is an independent
program that alerts you when a notice arrives in your Notice folder. TrayFaxAlert also al-
lows you view notices without starting FaxPress. For more information, refer to Notices
and Alerts on page 158.

Print Queues

This folder lists the jobs in the logged-on FaxPress server's Parallel port print queues. Us-
ers can manage only their personal print jobs.

Cover Pages

Cover Pages can be included when you send a fax. FaxPress includes templates for both
Microsoft Word and WordPad based cover page designs, as well as designs based on the
Captaris Cover Page Editor. The templates are available in the Cover Page Templates
