5. Slowly lower the presser foot lever, and then position

the pin on the presser foot (side cutter) in the notch of
the presser foot holder to attach the presser foot (side
cutter).
6. Select a stitch pattern.
If there is an "S" in the bottom of the key display, the
indicated stitch pattern can be sewn with the side cut-
ter.
7. Make a cut of about 20 mm (3/4 inch) in the fabric.
