4-14 Standalone Settings

Procedure 1. Select "STANDALON" on the initial editing screen.
Reference: A standalone setting is only valid while the screen for which it is set is displayed.
When using an NT20M or NT600M without direct connection, it is possible to as-
sign screen switching functions to the input terminals of an extended I/O unit or
touch switches. When the set input terminal or touch switch comes ON, the dis-
play switches to the specified screen. This screen switching function when using
an NT20M or NT600M without direct connection is called the "standalone func-
tion".
When direct connection is used, and when other PT models are used without di-
rect connection, screen switching is set with the touch switch and extended I/O
functions.
2. Locate the cursor on the extended I/O unit input terminal number or touch
switch number that is to be assigned the screen switching function and press
the
key.
Whether the input terminals of an extended I/O unit or touch switches are used
depends on the PT model used.
3. Specify the screen number of the screen to be switched to.
4. Press the [Esc] key to quit standalone setting.
