Call channel states
After completing call processing, a channel remains in the active state in
anticipation of receiving future calls. If it does not receive another call after 30
seconds, an active channel changes to an idle state.
The icon that appears for each channel indicates the channel status.

Monitoring multimedia channels

If the server experiences trouble processing incoming calls, you can view
the state of voice, fax, and speech recognition channels in Multimedia
Monitor. From Multimedia Monitor, you can

reconfigure the channels or add MPC-8 cards to increase the multimedia
processing capacity of the server.
