Introduction
The Multiprotocol Router ASN product portfolio is being discontinued by Nortel*. The last
order date is April 30, 2007 with the table below providing a list of discontinued codes. Any
Multiprotocol Router ASN order codes not listed in the table have also been discontinued.
The recommended replacement product for the Multiprotocol Router ASN is the Secure
Router 3120. Please note that the Secure Router products are IP WAN routers and do not
support legacy multiprotocol features of the BayRS family, including the Multiprotocol Router
ASN. The Secure Router 3120 provides superior price/performance with advanced features
in the areas of Routing, WAN, VPN, Security, Quality of Service and Network Management.
Technical support for the Multiprotocol Router ASN products will continue through the
normal Nortel Technical Support Center. This notice will also serve as the final EOL notice
for the order codes identified below and no additional notice will be issued.
