Troubleshooting Guide

Symptom
Yellow battery Low Light
on during operation
Burner will not light
Low or no water flow
(less than 1 gallon per
minute)
Water leak at pump to
container
Hose turns white or
discolors inside
Water leaking from
inside heater

Service

• Repairs to gas passages, electrical circuitry and associated components should be done only by Coleman or an authorized
service person.
• Owner repair and service should be limited and performed only to the following:
• Cleaning
• Propane cylinder leak checks and cylinder replacement
• Battery replacement
• Pump & pump hose replacement
• Repair to doors: battery compartment door & battery charger compartment door.

Problem
Battery voltage low
Battery defective
Propane cylinder empty
Propane cylinder frosted
Electronic circuit defective
Battery lead disconnected
Pump is not positioned properly
Water container out of water
Pump screen clogged
Hose bent or kinked
Pump unplugged
Air bubble in hose
Fitting cross-threaded
Calcium buildup
Defective seal or break
Solution
Charge battery
Replace battery (refer to maintenance section for
instructions)
Replace cylinder
Replace cylinder and reuse after thawing
Send to Coleman Service Center
Remove battery cover & reinstall lead
Rotate pump so "THIS SIDE UP" is facing upward
Fill water container
Remove and clean screen
Straighten hose
Make sure the black wire is plugged into back of heater
Drain hose completely
Remove pump and reconnect to water container
Clean heater (refer to page 6 for cleaning instructions)
Send to authorized Coleman Service Center
