    GETTING STARTED Connections Connecting Headphones Connect a pair of headphones or earphones to the Headphone Out jack for private listening. Lower the volume level before con-  necting headphones, then gradually increase the volume for comfortable listening. Hearing experts advise against the constant use of personal stereos played at high volume. Constant high-volume use can lead to hearing loss. If you experience ringing in your ears or hearing loss, dis- continue use immediately and seek medical advice.

    GETTING STARTED Disconnecting from Macintosh OS X On the left side of the Finder window, identify the appropri- ate Removable Disk icon. Click on the “Eject” arrow on the right of the Removable Disk icon. Disconnect the USB adapter from the player and your computer.

    GETTING STARTED Power On/Off To turn your player on, hold  indicator lights up. To turn your player off, hold  indicator darkens. Reset Function If your player freezes or otherwise behaves abnormally, use a pin to press the Reset button. Hold Function The HOLD function disables your player’s controls to prevent accidental key presses.
