If your transceiver seems to be malfunctioning, please check
the following points before sending it to a service center.
PROBLEM
No power comes on.
• The battery is exhausted.

TROUBLESHOOTING

SOLUTION
• Charge the battery pack or place new dry cell bat-
teries in the battery case.
(Remove the battery pack if you will not be using
the transceiver for a long time.)
• Check the connector or remove and replace the
cable.
• Charge the battery pack or place new dry cells in
the battery case.
• Push [VFO] to select VFO mode.
• Set [LOCK] down to deactivate the lock function.
• Program different frequencies.
• Program the memory channels or set to micro-
phone normal.
• Turn OFF the tone squelch.
• Set beep tones ON in initial set mode.
