    Fan Tray Assembly The Cisco XR 12404 router is equipped with a fan tray assembly located at the side of the chassis. The fan tray assembly maintains acceptable operating temperatures for the internal components by drawing cooling air across the card cage.

    Preparing for Installation Power Connection Guidelines The Cisco XR 12404 Router requires an AC PEM or a combination DC PDU and DC PEM. Site requirements differ depending on the type of power source voltage. We recommend you follow these precautions and recommendations when planning power source connections to your router.
