The more you use your
computer, the more files
you will create. In time,
the hard disk can become
cluttered and performance
may suffer.
It's easy to take an
inventory of files stored on
your computer and then do
some regular "house
cleaning."
When in doubt, don't delete a
file.
1. Double click the My
g
Computer icon on the
Windows desktop. The My
Computer window is
displayed.
2. Right-click the disk you want
to free space on, and then click
Properties on the pop-up
menu.
3. On the General tab, click Disk
Cleanup.
4. Click the files you want to
delete.
Caution: When deleting files, make
sure you don't delete any files that are
necessary for system or program
operation including the following file
extensions: .exe, .dll , or .ini .
5. Click OK.
