Symptom
Insufficient memory message
is displayed.
Problem
All memory in
computer is being
used by open
programs, and
memory is needed for
desired task.
Solution
To avoid Windows automatically running
unnecessary programs at startup:
1. Click the Start button on the Windows
taskbar.
2. Select Run. The Run dialog box is displayed.
3. In the Open box, type MSCONFIG.
4. Click OK. The System Configuration Utility
dialog box is displayed.
5. Click the Startup tab, and clear the check
box(es) for any unnecessary programs.
6. Close one or more programs, and restart
Windows to recover memory.
