    Hardware Upgrades Warnings and Cautions Before performing upgrades be sure to carefully read all of the applicable instructions, cautions, and warnings in this guide. Å WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from electrical shock and/or hot surfaces, be sure to disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet and allow the internal system components to cool before touching.

One access panel has captive thumbscrews that may be removed by unscrewing them.

    For proper system operation, if the system supports DDR-SDRAM DIMMs, the DIMMs must be industry-standard 184-pin, unbuffered PC 2100 266 MHz-compliant CAS Latency 2 or 2.5 (CL = 2 or CL = 2.5), or PC 2700 333 MHz-compliant CAS Latency 2.5 (CL = 2.5) 2.5 volt DDR-SDRAM DIMMs.
