Connecting to the IEEE 1394 Interface

Connect the IEEE 1394 interface cable to the IEEE 1394 interface board.

Connect the IEEE 1394 interface cable to the IEEE 1394 port.

For IEEE 1394 (SCSI print) connection, plug the other end of the cable into
the interface connector on the host computer.
Make sure about the shape of the connector to the computer. Fasten the con-
nector securely to the computer.
Note
❒ Use the interface cable supplied with the IEEE 1394 interface board (op-
tional).
❒ Make sure the interface cable is not looped.
❒ Two interface ports are available for connecting the IEEE 1394 interface ca-
ble. Either is suitable.

Connect the IEEE 1284 interface cable to the IEEE 1284 interface board.

Make sure the main power switch on the machine is "Off".
If the main power switch is turned "On", turn it "Off".

Turn off the main power switch of the host computer
