    Timer and sleep operation SD-EX220 This may be operated only with the remote control. Timer playback: The unit turns on and plays the desired source (CD, tuner) at the preset time. Sleep operation: The radio and compact disc player can be turned off automatically.

    Maintenance SD-EX220 Cleaning the CD pickup lens Poor performance during CD playback (skipping or jumping) can be caused by a dirty or contaminated CD laser pickup lens, in this case cleaning may be required. Clean the lens gently with a dry cotton swab taking care not to touch the lens with your fin- gers.
