    witching the Phone On or Off Switching the Phone On Open the folder. Press the [ ] key until the phone switches on. If the handset requests you to input the PIN, enter the PIN and press the [ ] Soft key.(For further details, see Menu 6.7) Your handset starts to search for an available network and the current date and time will appear on the internal and external displays.

Using Contacts You can store frequently used names and phone numbers in the SIM card or the handset memory, which are called Contacts.

    nswering a Call Answering a Call When you receive a call, the phone rings (or vibrates) and screen will display the name or the number of the caller (If the network supports the function and you have subscribed to it). If the caller can be identified, the caller’s phone number or name will be displayed if it is stored in your Contacts.

Switching the MicroPhone Off (Mute) You can temporarily switch your phone’s microphone off so that the other person cannot hear you. This menu allows you to create, send, read and save a message using Short Message Service (SMS: Text message), Enhanced Message Service (EMS: Message including simple image, animation or melody) or Multimedia Message Service (MMS: Message supporting presentation of various media types, such as full colour images and polyphonic ring tones).

It provides asynchronous delivery of personal multimedia messages between phones, and phone and e-mail. Adding to the familiar text content of the text message, the multimedia message can contain an image, graphic, and/or sound.
