Communication Example

Call the coast station following the procedure in paragraph 10.2. Then, communicate with
the coast station. Below is a communication example.
If this is your first
communications with a
particular coast station,
the coast station asks
for you selcall no. ship
name, call sign and
AAIC (your enterprises
name for which to
charge to charge toll
call. That registers you
with the coast station.
Thereafter, if your
answerback code is
correct automatic
transmission is possible.
Coast station disconnects the line.
