    Using proper cookware The size and type of cookware used will influence the setting needed for best cooking results. Be sure to follow the recommendations for using proper cookware as illustrated in Figs. 1 & 2. Cookware should have flat bottoms that make good contact with the entire surface heating element .

    Glass - Slow heat conductor. Element on indicator lights Your range is equipped with one or more element on indicator lights located on the control panel just above the surface control knobs (See Fig. 1). The element on indicator light will glow when a surface element is turned ON.

    • Do not place flammable items such as plastic salt and pepper shakers, spoon holders or plastic wrappings on top of the range when it is in use. These items could melt or ignite. Potholders, towels or wooden spoons could catch fire if placed too close to the surface elements.

    OVEN CONTROL FUNCTIONS READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE OVEN. For satisfactory use of your oven, become familiar with the various pad features and functions of the oven as described below. Feature indicator lights— These indicator lights show if bake or broil is active.
