    If damage is found, notify the transpor- tation company immediately. Only you can ini- tiate a claim for shipping damage. Crown will be happy to help as needed. Save the shipping carton as evidence of damage for the shipper’s inspection.

    CE Series Power Amplifiers 2 Setup 2.4 Choose Input Wire and Connectors You have three choices of input connectors: 1/4-inch (6.35-mm) phone, 3-pin XLR, or barrier strip. You can also use either balanced or unbalanced wiring. Figure 2.3 shows balanced connector pin assignments for XLR and phone.

    2 Setup 2.5 Choose Output Wire and Con- nectors Crown recommends using pre-built or profes- sionally wired, high-quality, two- or four-con- ductor, heavy gauge speaker wires. They should be terminated with Neutrik Speakon NL4FC con- nectors (Figure 2.6) at one end and appropriate connectors to fit your speakers at the other end.

    OUTPUTS: Maintain proper polarity (+/–) on output connectors. Connect Channel-1 positive (+) speaker load to Channel-1 positive terminal of amp; repeat for negative (–).
