  • Page 4 ACCESSORIES To order accessories for your TA-150 answering machine, simply cut out this order form, fill in the appropriate information and send it with payment (check, money order or credit card information) to: CASIO PHONEMATE Parts Department Description Lightning Arrestor - Helps protect telephone answering machines from damage caused by lightning strikes to the telephone line.
  • Page 5 Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. Any changes made by the user not approved by CASIO PHONEMATE can void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
  • Page 6 After several attempts the TA-150 will not operate properly. To reset the TA-150, unplug the AC ADAPTER PLUG from the back of the TA-150 (do not unplug the AC ADAPTOR from the wall outlet) for 10 seconds. Recorded greetings, incoming messages and the time/day stamp will be erased.
  • Page 7 The MESSAGE INDICATOR flashes rapidly. If you are installing your TA-150 for the first time, or you have experienced a power failure, make sure that your unit is connected to a telephone line. Then press ALL to restore machine operation.
  • Page 8 Recorded messages are cut off. The TA-150 is designed to disconnect from the line after a caller stops talking. Calls may be cut off if a 5 second pause is detected, if the caller does not speak loud enough, or if the message is less than four seconds.

Subject to the following conditions, should this product prove defective by reason of improper workmanship of material: During the period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase, CASIO PHONEMATE will repair or, at its option, replace the product without charge for parts or labor. If CASIO PHONEMATE elects to replace the product, such replacement may be accomplished with a factory-reconditioned unit.
  • Page 10 INSTALLATION Two-line installations may require a two line T-Adapter for your machine to operate correctly. The T-Adapter allows you to connect your machine to Line 1 or Line 2. The TA-150 will only answer one line. MULTI-LINE INSTALLATION Installations with more than two lines, such as business phone systems, may require a separate RJ11 jack for answering machines.

  • Page 29 TIMER-SELECT MODE In the TIMER-SELECT MODE, programmed GREETING 1 and GREETING 2 play at specific times. The TA-150 is shipped with the TIMER- SELECT MODE set as follows: GREETING 1 will play between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with “GREETING 1” and CLOCK icon appearing in the display.

  • Page 33 RINGER ON/OFF You can set the TA-150 to ring like a telephone when a call comes in and answer a call using the built-in speakerphone or an extension phone.
  • Page 34 Since the TA-150 can be programmed to ring and you can answer calls using the speaker- phone, you may choose to place the TA-150 in a different location from your telephone. (See page 6 for RINGER ON/OFF, or page 22 for the SPEAKERPHONE.)
  • Page 35 ANNOUNCE ONLY Set the TA-150 to only play greetings and not record incoming messages. This feature works in all six greeting modes. “AO” will appear in the LCD to indicate the ANNOUNCE ONLY mode is activated. The clock display will not appear when the machine is in the ANNOUNCE ONLY mode.
  • Page 36 DIGITAL GREETING AND INCOMING MESSAGES Greetings and incoming messages are recorded on a digital chip — reducing mechanical components and increasing reliability. The TA-150 allows a total of 24 minutes of combined recording time for greetings, incoming messages, recorded memos and recorded conversations.
