Do not unplug the power cord unnecessarily. Do not unplug the printer or turn off a power strip to which the printer is attached when the printer’s power is turned on. This may prevent the print head unit from returning to the home position on the right and being capped, which may cause the print head to dry out.

Glossary Automatic feed Refers to one way in which paper can be fed into the printer when the sheet feeder is used. BJ cartridge The printing mechanism that contains the print head unit and ink tanks. BJ Cartridge Container A box for storing a BJ cartridge. A BJ cartridge removed from the printer must be stored inside this BJ cartridge container to prevent the print head of the cartridge from drying and clogging.
