    When the unit is first powered on, you will see the default SAT screen. It may take up to 3 or 4 minutes for the unit to scan and lock on to the GPS satellites during the first power up in a new area-but will be faster when it is powered on again later in the same area.

    Glossary •Accuracy: A measure of how close an estimate of a GPS position is to the true location. •Acquisition Time: The time it takes a GPS receiver to acquire satellite signals and determine the initial position. •Active Leg: The segment of a route currently being traveled. A “segment” is that portion of a route between any two waypoints in the route.
