Level Description
Critical The unit is receiving an RAI (yellow) alarm from the network. This
alarm is a signal sent back toward the source of a failed transmit circuit.
The X-bits (X1 and X2) are set to zero.
Critical The unit is receiving an AIS (blue) alarm from the network. This alarm
occurs when consecutive 1010s are received in the information bits,
indicating the fault lies at or upstream from the transmitting source.
Critical The unit has lost the network Rx signal.
Critical The unit detects a framing loss from the network.
Noncritical The controller card is receiving code violations in excess of the user
specified threshold. Refer to
Critical The controller card transmitter has failed.
Noncritical The unit is receiving an RAI (yellow) alarm from the network across a
DS2. This alarm is a signal sent back toward the source of a failed trans-
mit circuit. The X-bits (X1 and X2) are set to zero.
Noncritical The unit is receiving unframed all ones across a DS2.
