Belkin International, Inc. ("Belkin") warrants to the original purchaser of any Belkin Surge Protector for
the life of the product, that the Surge Protector shall be free of defects in design, assembly, material,
or workmanship, and will repair or replace, at its option, any defective Surge Protector free of charge.
Belkin's Connected Equipment Warranty covers equipment that is damaged by transient voltage (an
"Occurrence") while properly connected through a Belkin Surge Protector to a properly wired AC power
line with a protective ground.
This warranty is null and void unless all wires leading into the equipment pass through an appropriate
Belkin Surge Protector as described herein below. The warranty will not cover claims for damage
resulting from telephone-line/network-line transients unless the equipment is properly connected to
one of the following Surge Protectors that offer telephone-line/network-line protection: base models
BV10720x, BV10820x, BV10823x, and BV1122xx. The warranty will not cover claims for damage
resulting from coaxial-line transients unless the equipment is properly connected to one of the following
Surge Protectors that offer coaxial-line protection: models BV10703x, BV108230x, BV11223x, and
BV112234. If you are using an AC Surge Protector that does not have phone, network, or coaxial
protection, the warranty is null and void if a power disturbance damages your equipment through the
phone, network, or coaxial lines. You are only covered if the disturbance entered through the AC lines.
This is a Limited Warranty subject to the limitations and exclusions set forth herein.
Belkin will spend, to repair or replace the damaged connected equipment, at Belkin's option, an
amount equal to the fair market value of the damaged equipment or the original purchase price of the
equipment, whichever is less, up to the maximum amount set forth below:
Model BV101XXXX-XX Up to a maximum of $25,000.00
Model BV106XXXX-XX Up to a maximum of $25,000.00
Model BV107XXXX-XX Up to a maximum of $75,000.00
Model BV108XXXX-XX Up to a maximum of $100,000.00
Model BV112XXXX-XX Up to a maximum of $250,000.00
Note: Unless otherwise indicated, the "X" denotes an alphanumeric character that represents a SKU in
the product series.
Belkin reserves the right to review the damaged Belkin Surge Protector, the damaged equipment, and
the site where the damage occurred. All costs of shipping the Belkin Surge Protector and the damaged
equipment to Belkin for inspection shall be borne solely by the purchaser. Belkin reserves the right to
negotiate the cost of repairs. If Belkin determines, in its sole discretion, that it is impractical to ship the
damaged equipment to Belkin, Belkin may designate, in its sole discretion, an equipment repair facility
to inspect and estimate the cost to repair such equipment. The cost, if any, of shipping the equipment
to and from such repair facility and of such estimate shall be borne solely by the purchaser. Damaged
equipment must remain available for inspection until the claim is finalized. Whenever claims are settled,
Belkin reserves the right to be subrogated under any existing insurance policies the claimant may have.
All above warranties contained herein are null and void if: the Belkin Surge Protector in use during
the Occurrence is not provided to Belkin for inspection upon Belkin's request at the sole expense
of the purchaser; Belkin determines that the Belkin Surge Protector has been opened, improperly
installed, altered in any way or tampered with; Belkin determines that the damage did not result from
the Occurrence or that no Occurrence in fact took place; the repair or replacement of the damaged
equipment is covered under a manufacturer's warranty or seller's extended warranty; or Belkin
determines that the connected equipment was not used under normal operating conditions or in
accordance with any manufacturer's instructions for the connected devices. All Belkin Surge Protectors
must be plugged directly into a properly wired AC power line with a protective ground and must not
be "daisy-chained" together in serial fashion with other power strips, UPSes, other surge protectors,
Power Connections
Your Belkin Surge Protector should only be plugged into a grounded outlet. All connected equipment
should be plugged directly into your Belkin Surge Protector. Using any extension cord in conjunction
with a Belkin Surge Protector will void all Belkin warranties.
Phone/Fax/Modem/Network Connections
Certain Belkin Surge Protector models come with phone/fax/modem surge protection. Instead of
running a connection directly from your phone/fax/modem/network to the wall jack, you must pass the
connection through the protected jacks on your Belkin Surge Protector.
• C onnect your phone/fax/modem/network line from your wall outlet to the "Input" jack on the Surge
Protector. Connect an RJ11 phone cord and/or RJ45 cable into the "Output" jack on the Surge
Protector, and connect the other end of the cord to the phone/fax/modem/network jack of the
device you want to protect.
• I f you fail to connect the phone/fax/modem protection, and/or network protection, the Connected
Equipment Warranty will not cover your connected equipment. Most modem damage can be
prevented if time is taken to connect the phone/fax/modem protection.
Coaxial-Cable Connections
Certain Belkin Surge Protector models come with coaxial-cable surge protection. Instead of running
a connection directly from your DSS receiver/TV/VCR/cable box to the wall jack, you must pass the
connection through the protected "F" connectors on your Belkin Surge Protector.
• C onnect your incoming cable/antenna/DSS line to the "Input F" connector on the Surge Protector.
Connect a coaxial cable into the "Output F" connector on the Surge Protector, and then connect
the other end of the coaxial cable to the "Input F" connector of the device you want to protect.
• I f you fail to use the coaxial-cable protection, the Connected Equipment Warranty will not cover
your connected equipment. Most TV/VCR damage can be prevented if time is taken to connect
coaxial-cable protection.

warranties required by law include the implied warranty of condition of quality, merchantability,
and fitness for a particular purpose, and such implied warranties, if any, are limited in duration to

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations
may not apply.

Indicator Lights
• T he "Protected" light should be on when the power switch is turned on. If this light goes out at
any time, it means that your Surge Protector was sacrificed to protect your equipment and should
be replaced.
• T he "Not Grounded" light should not be on. If this light turns on, you may have a ground-
wiring problem in your home and you should contact an electrician to properly ground the
outlet. Connecting a Belkin Surge Protector to an improperly grounded outlet will void all Belkin
warranties. If your home is properly grounded and the Surge Protector's "Not Grounded" indicator
light is on, please contact Belkin for your free replacement.
safety Covers
Certain Belkin Surge Protector models come with sliding safety covers on the outlets of the Surge
Protector. This will help minimize dust and debris in the outlets when they are not in use. Make sure to
slide the covers fully to expose or hide the outlets.

Certain Belkin Surge Protector models have a power-cord manager integrated at the foot of the Surge
Protector. This will help keep power cords organized and tangle-free.
• Lift the clip and route the power cords under the clip.
