    Charging the Lithium Battery Only use the Lithium Battery that is included in the packaging. To charge the Lithium Battery insert the battery into the camera in the direction as shown. Insert the battery with the positive (+) and negative (-) poles matching the directions indicated inside the battery compartment Make sure the camera is powered off.

    Initial Camera Setup When powering the camera ON for the first time the camera will take you through the initial camera setup. Powering the Camera ON Make sure the battery is fully charged before the first use. Make sure an SD card has been inserted into your camera. Make sure the battery cover is tightly closed and locked into place.

    Setting the Camera Language You will first be prompted to select a language for the camera. The Language selection menu will appear. Select the language of your choice and press the OK button to confirm the selection. After selecting a language, you will be asked if you would like to continue with the initial camera setup.     Using Your Digital Camera Make sure the batteriy is fully charged before the first use. Powering the camera ON Press the Power button to turn your camera ON. The camera will be in Photo Capture mode to start. Powering the camera OFF While the camera is on, you can press the Power button again at any point to turn your camera OFF.

Playback Mode - Use this mode to view the photos and videos you have already taken with your camera. When the camera is first powered ON, the Photo Capture Mode will be active.

    Navigating the Menus Each camera mode has a set of menus specific to that mode. Press the MENU button to open the menus for the current mode. Press the LEFT or RIGHT direction control buttons to scroll between the various menus for the current mode.

    Scene Menu The Scene Menu allows you to choose scene settings that allow your camera to adapt properly to your current environment.

This is an optimal feature if you don‟t just want to take the picture but would also would like to be in the picture yourself.

Multi-Snapshots Menu When enabled, the Multi-Snapshots feature allows you to take five rapid snapshots in a row with a single click of the shutter button.
  • Page 23 Image Sharpness Menu You can set the level of sharpness in the images taken with your camera. The sharpness level dictates if the edges of objects in the image are more or less distinct. Press the UP or DOWN direction control buttons to scroll through the menu options. Press the OK button to select the desired option.

Format Memory Card Menu You can use the Format Memory Card menu to delete all of the content that is currently on your camera‟s memory card.

    A message will appear confirming that your memory card has been formatted clean. Factory Settings Menu Use this menu to view the Firmware version on your camera or to reset your camera settings to the factory default settings. The “Default Setting” is selected. Press the OK button to reset the camera to the factory default settings.

Light Exposure Menu The Light Exposure setting helps you control the amount of light that enters your camera‟s lens. This setting should be adjusted when the environment is lighter or darker than normal.

Metering Menu The Metering setting will affect how your camera focuses when capturing an image.     Q: I deleted images using the Vivitar Experience Image Manager. The images where also deleted from my computer. How do I recover images that I accidently deleted? All images deleted using the Vivitar Experience Image Manager are sent to your computer`s Recycle or Trash Bin and can be retrieved from there.
