Always consult your doctor concerning raised temperatures and any other worrying symptoms. It may be a good idea to
establish and record your usual temperature regularly when not ill.
Whilst Individuals may vary, normal temperature is considered to be 37ºC. However, body temperature can vary from 36ºC up
to the normal level.
A mild rise in temperature would be to about 37.8ºC and you should consult your doctor if your temperature remains at this for

Respiratory air may affect the accuracy of measurement. You are recommended to close the mouth for about 1 minute to let
temperature in the mouth become steady.
Directions
The unit is switched on and off with the button alongside the display window. The start-up screen will appear on the LCD
display and a beep will be heard.
Upon releasing the on-off button if the thermometer has been used previously, the last measured temperature will be shown for

If the room temperature is between 32°C and 42.9°C, the reading will be shown.
If the thermometer displays over 35°C, dip the thermometer tip in cold water for approximately 5 seconds prior to measuring
your temperature.
Do not eat or drink anything before taking the measurement.
To ensure reading is as accurate as possible, place the thermometer tip under the tongue in the rear heat pocket to the left or
right of the root. Keep the mouth closed. Wait for 1 minute or until you hear bleeping tones. After hearing the bleeping tones,
wait 4 more seconds.
The unit may now be removed and the displayed temperature recorded.
The unit will auto power off after around 10 minutes of not being used.
Temperature can also be taken using underarm or rectal methods. Medical advice and information on the most appropriate and
accurate methods of taking temperature should be sought from your healthcare professional or other suitable source.
Replacing The Batteries
The low battery symbol appears when the battery requires replacing.
Turn the thermometer face down and remove the end cap, slide the battery case out from the unit. If required, use only a
non-conductive, blunt instrument, such as a toothpick or matchstick, to help with removing the battery.
The replacement battery should be of the same type (1.5V – LR41). Make sure "positive" side is facing upwards.
Push the battery case into the unit and replace the end cap.
Always take care when removing the battery cover as damage may occur if the unit is dropped or knocked against any hard
surface.
Remove batteries if the unit is not being used for a long period of time to prevent them from leaking.
Do not throw away used battery in household waste. Dispose of the battery at your local waste disposal centre in the
appropriate battery dispose site.
