Connecting to Optional Equipment A digital component with a built-in MPEG 2 or Dolby Digital™ decoder allows you to enjoy the surround sound while producing the effect of being in a movie theater or a concert hall. The player outputs the surround sound signals from the DIGITAL OUT COAXIAL or OPTICAL connectors. -

Basic Playback Press POWER on the front panel to turn on the DVD player. Insert the chosen disc in the tray, with the label facing up. Disc playback starts automatically or press PLAY to start playback depending on the disc menu on the TV screen. -

Cleaning the disc lens ¶ After prolonged use, dirt or dust may accumulate at the disc lens. To ensure good playback quality, clean the disc lens with Philips CD Lens Cleaner or any commercially available cleaner. Follow the instructions supplied with the cleaner. -
